Pueblo of Laguna Utility Authority seeks an Office Assistant

Regular Full-Time, non-exempt

OPENING DATE February 8, 2019-CLOSING DATE: Until Filled

We are seeking an Office Assistant with skills, experience and confidence to help support our operations. Will need to adapt to various situations, communicate well and be very organized. We are looking for a motivated individual with a proven track record. You must be able to work under pressure and prioritize. The Office Assistant responsibilities include

  • Answering phones and assisting customers.
  • Substitute Customer Service Representative.
  • Handles customer payments
  • Filing
  • Pick up and deliver mail to post office, proper sorting and logging of mail.
  • Administers work orders
  • General office duties as assigned.
  • Provided general clerical assistance to department Managers
  • Assist in gathering information for various Utility Authority projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This person must also possess good multitasking & problem-solving skills.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED certificate.  Experience working in office settings, customer service skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of basic accounting principles desired.

Must have a valid New Mexico Driver’s License with no serious convictions in the past five years and must be insurable under POLUA’s carrier. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
